We are proud to celebrate the latest accomplishment of PMB Professors Taekjip Ha and Cynthia Wolberger, who have been elected to the National Academy of Medicine. New members are elected for major contributions to the advancement of medical sciences, health care, and public health.
Taekjip Ha, Phd, has been recognized for his co-invention of the single-molecule FRET technology, along with numerous other technological innovations in the field of Biophysics, which have enabled potent biological applications to DNA, RNA, and the nucleic acids enzymes involved in genome maintenance.
Cynthia Wolberger, Phd, has been elected on account of her studies into the underlying molecular mechanisms of combinatorial regulation of transcription, ubiquitin signaling, and epigenetic histone modifications, creating a foundation for drug discovery.
