PMB welcomes Dr. Sua Myong. Dr. Myong’s work focuses on single molecule and single cell imaging to investigate regulations in gene expression.

Dr. Ha is a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Biophysics and Biophysical Chemistry, Biophysics, and Biomedical Engineering.

Congratulations to PMB Professor Karen Fleming who received the 2016 Thomas E. Thompson Award, which recognizes outstanding contribution in the field of membrane structure and assembly! The award will be presented at the Membrane Structure and Assembly Subgroup meeting on February 27, 2016, in L.A., where Professor Fleming will present the Thomas E. Thompson award lecture.

PMB student Mollie Rappe served as an intern at ASBMB Today, where she wrote several articles for the magazine including this one that landed on the May 2015 cover. Mollie is doing her thesis research in the lab of Dr. Sarah Woodson, Department of Biophysics.

Congratulations to PMB student, Lauren Que, who has been awarded a Fred and Ruth Kort Young Scholar award. Lauren is doing her thesis research in the lab of Dr. Cynthia Wolberger.

The thesis research of PMB student Sabin Mulepati is featured in Science magazine (cover). Sabin did his research on the bacterial CRISPR immune system in the lab of Dr. Scott Bailey, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Bloomberg School of Public Health.
